So the house I moved to this summer, is on a street that is privately owned by the builders of the houses on the street. So the County snow trucks don’t clear it. No big deal except for as I was trying to shovel out the drive way yesterday I got to talking with the neighbors. As far as anyone can understand there were 2 builders who have are fighting over the rights to the street, and neither wants to plow the damn road. So luckily (after one of my neighbors broke his truck trying to force the way out of the road) a neighbor was able to get my wife to work. in his truck. Now I am stranded in my house, the road will probably not be cleared before Wednesday is the best guess, and I need to get my wife home before I HAVE to go to work on Monday. No one is taking responsibility for plowing the damn road. This is such a mess, if I would have known I would have bought a BIG ASS snow blower to just deal with this. Such a mess.
Any one in Maryland want to come plow my road ?

Someone needs to tell the two “owners” that if they want to prove they have rightful ownership, they should plow it. After all, why would someone who DOESN’T own the street plow it?

see this is the part that was confusing me, we pay a front foot fee to both companies, its not a ton of money though. apparently this fight has been going on for 5 years now. so that’s not encouraging.

If you still had the R, I’d tell you to just plow your way through it. But the Fiesta would probably get stuck with in a second.

well the lifted 4x4 pickup trucks were getting stuck, so the R had no chance. the big issue is the snow comes up above the door level on the new escape. there is no way the R would not get stuck. It is sweet sweet irony tho, that the entire time I had that car NO SNOW. the day after I sell it historic snowfall is forecast

If they’re both getting paid as if they’re the owners, you can see why they have no interest in resolving the matter.

Can’t you get the local kids to come and build snowmen and snow-forts, and have snowball fights, until the road is clear enough to put down some gravel?

the kids around here fall in to two categories, either under 3 years old, or over 13 who have no interest in being out side unless they are trying to break into cars

The latter category are even easier to get to clear the street. Tell them you dropped 50 bucks and a baggie of weed in the street before the snow started falling...
